Caught in the cookie jar

I was feeding the dogs and apparently was not going fast enough cause when I turned back around from putting food into the bowls Tonka was stuffing his face already.

Happy Birthdays, Treasure Hunts & Bowling

We were able to have Aaden for his 5th birthday this year. Can I tell you how fun it was to do. We had 2 parties for him. The first one was with all of JD's family at his mom and dad's house. I made Aaden a hulk cake (the new favorite craze). Then we went to my mom's house where her friend Ted had planned a huge treasure hunt. He had "found" a treasure map and everything. Aaden was so excited to find all his birthday toys along with a wooden treasure chest full of jewels and gold dollar coins.
The next day we were able to go bowling for Brayden's (Sarah's little boy). I think that last time that I went bowling I got a gutter ball with bumpers, yes I am that bad. But surprisingly this time I was doing pretty good, even struck a few victory poses. After the bowling session was over we all played in the arcade. My niece Marlee was scoring the tickets on the Sponge Bob bowling game, is it wrong to be jealous of a 4 year old? Nah I love her to death and am pretty sure she'll always be on my team.

Consider the lilies...

So most of you who know me know that my favorite flower is a purple calla lily. Well those flowers have to be special ordered and JD hasn't had a chance to get into a flower shop to do that so he did the next best thing. Knowing that I love lilies he went out and bought me a fall bouquet. Can I tell you how beautiful these lilies were and they lasted for forever. He was so excited to bring home those flowers and surprise me. The best part...JD did it just because. I love this guy!

He's not my baby anymore...

Well my little baby who could curl up in my lap and snuggle in right next to my face has finally grown up. He still thinks he is a baby and I am constantly waking up to him trying to cuddle in as close as he can to me at 2 am. I don't know if it's cuz he gets nightmares or just misses his mommy, but I think it's time to introduce him to the foot of the bed. Well besides getting bigger physically he is also becoming a stubborn teenager. I was taking him for a walk and all he wanted to do was sniff and sniff and sniff. After struggling for a few minutes and having him walk me, he went to a handicap sign and lifted his leg...yes lifted his leg. I whipped out my phone and started taking pictures and sending them to everyone in my family. I know...but when this is your baby it's just like them getting potty trained. I love my little Zeph and so can't wait for Tonka to come home with us!Zephyr Koa...
